Nutritional Assessment
Health is important to you and your future family!  Have a nutrition check up before you plan your family to assure that you are in the optimal health.
An assessment should include:
 
Body Composition Assessment
A record of food intake for analysis
An activity record for energy/fuel estimates
Timing schedule for activities and special needs on a monthly weekly basis.
Current family support systems to provide nutrition needs of all family members.
Results of recent blood test reviewed
Good Nutrition Can Make a Difference

Maternity Check-ups can be done in cooperation with your family physician/obstetrician/midwife to review blood tests such as hemoglobin and calcium bone density studies for those at at risk.
Feeding Your Baby
 
Once again Health and Welfare Canada has recommended new quidelines for infant feeding.  Emphasis is still placed on breastfeeding where possible and delaying solid food and juices until baby is ready.  See
