| Physical activity doesn't have to be very hard to improve your health. Remember that the first 20 minutes burns more glucose, glycogen stores and after 20 minutes we begin to use more fat stores even if we are only going half as fast as we can go. We can build physical fitness over a period of time. For example start with a 5 minute walk and increase it by 1-5 minutes every week up to one hour. If you have any pain or strain cut back for a day and consult a health professional about how you feel when you exercise. After a few weeks of regular physical activity, you will notice a difference. People often say getting started is the hardest part. |
